FISHING REGULATIONS FOR KOMAGELV 2011

  1. INTENTIONS:

The Associations intentions are jf.§3A in the attachments. To protect,increase the stock in the river and lakes that the association lease. That is the starting point for adopting the rules.

  1. DOCUMENTS NEEDED TO FISH:

Fishing license,capture form,proof of fishingfee,receipt of disinfection and Proof of Identity. All equipment used out of Finnmark shall be disinfected before a Fishing License is issued. Disinfecting License from other rivers in the NVF region is accepted but must not be older than 7 days old.

  1. FISHING TIMES :

Fishing Day is between 18h00 to 18h00.

Salmon fishing is from 24th June to 17th August 24h00.

Sea Trout fishing is from 24th June to 31st August 24h00.

Arctic Char fishing is forbidden the whole season.(PROTECTED)

Sea Trout and Humpback Salmon is lengthened until 15 September from the New Bridge to the river mouth.

The fishing season can be shortened if the fish stocks or the water level is too low.

  1. FORBIDDEN POOLS FOR FISHING:

Forbidden pools the whole season are: The Canyon Mouth,Russian Pool,Upper pool in the Allemanns and the Pedersen Pool,and

in the Skjærkulpen.

  1. APPROVED EQUIPMENT :

Fishing only allowed by fishingrod.

It is prohibited to lend or borrow a fishing license from anybody or to anyone.

Sinktip is forbidden only Floating Lines are accepted.

Forbidden to use weighted flys or nymphs by means of metal or lead.

Salmon flys:single hook max size 2,Double Salmon flys:double hook max size 4.Side fly max size 6.maximum 2 fly’s per rod and maximum 3 hooks per leader. A triple hook goes as 3 hooks.Nymph fishing: Nymph hook max size 10.

Dry fly fishing you are allowed one dry fly per floating line.

Worm fishing is FORBIDDEN after the 20th July 24h00.It is forbidden to use sinkers or a side when fishing with worms.maximum hook size 2.0.Floats are allowed.

  1. ORDERS TO RELEASING :

Arctic Char,Winter fish,Wild Salmon smaller than 35cm,Sea Trout smaller than 30cm should be released back into the river.After the 31st July:All female salmon shall be released.

  1. FISHING QUOTA:

Komagvær JFF have put quota of 3 Atlantic Salmon per fishing day.Season quota of 20 salmon per fisherman.

8.      REQUIREMENTS FOR REPORTING OF CATCH:

Reporting the catch is mandatory. Catches will be delivered in twice a month,middle evaluation on the 26 July and the last evaluation on the 31 August.Humpback salmon and Sea Trout catch reports must be delivered in the 15th September,a separate form will be issued.Catches must be documented immediately.Catch reports play a roll in determining the rivers condition, therefore any person not delivering in their catchement forms will be refused a fishing license the following year 2012.

 

DISOBEYING THE PUBLIC LAWS WILL BE REPORTED TO THE POLICE.
